The disc-shaped cutter is for use in bevelling the edges of wooden planks, and has one or more blade holders on its periphery, swivelling about an axis sited in a radial plane and aligned at right angles to a radial beam, for setting at varied angles. The blade holder(16, 16') incorporates a sector(32) fitted with teeth set axially to the holder axis. These mesh with a wormgear wheel(34) rotatably mounted in the cutter body(10), and this wheel has a manually operable extension(36, 40). There may be a series of similarly serrated blade holders, all meshing with a single wormgear wheel. The wheel can comprise a central ring engaged by the sectored serrations. This permits continuous blade holder angle adjustment, even with multiple blade holders.
|
