PURPOSE:To enhance thermal stability, optical stability by providing a recording layer containing organic dye which contains polymethine compound as a main ingredient and specific compound on a board directly or through an undercoating layer to form an optical information recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Recording layer forming coating solution is prepared by dissolving organic dye containing polymethine compound as a main ingredient and compound represented by a formula I [M is nickel, palladium, platinum, A is represented by a formula II (R1-R6 are hydrogen atom, 1-12C alkyl group)] in solvent. A board is coated with the solution directly or through an undercoating layer, and dried to form a recording layer, thereby forming an optical information recording medium. A board material includes, for example, plastic, glass, etc., and polymethine compound includes, for example, polymethine dye, cyanine dye, merocyanine dye, etc. |
