PURPOSE: To reduce the operation cost by eliminating the need for one power supply by sending power by means of light in the case of 2-way communication between two equipments through the use of light, to save power by allowing a master set to stop supply of power when a communication reply of a slave set exceeds a specified time and to prevent eyes and skins from being exposed by a power light for a long time. CONSTITUTION: In the communication between a control station 10 and a field station 20, a signal light is sent/received in two-way via a transmission reception optical circuit 13a comprising a light source, a light receiving device and an optical branching coupler by using an optical fiber 41 as a medium. On the other hand, power is supplied by providing a light source 134 sending a power light to the transmission reception optical circuit 13a and the power light from the light source 134 is made incident onto an optical fiber 41b efficiently via a lens 135 and sent to the field station 20. In the field station 20, the power light emitted from the optical fiber 41b is led to a receiver array 28 via a lens 26, in which the power light is converted into power. |
