<p>A flexible turbine blade, orientateable in accordance with the velocity and/or the direction of the driving fluid, has an aerodynamic cross-section and comprises a rigid rounded leading edge and a rigid tapered trailing edge 4, to prevent deformation, interconnected by a centre portion of very light flexible foam material. A pivot pin 10 parallel to the leading edge is located at each of the longitudinal ends of the blade in the vicinity of the leading edge and a flexible strap 12 is located at each of these ends and fixed to the trailing edge. Each flexible strap terminates in a loop 14 by which the strap can be hooked to a support 16 to locate the blade. The pivot pins, strap and flexible foam material allow the blade to adapt itself to the direction and velocity of the driving fluid. <IMAGE></p> |
