PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective mechanism of a magnetic head by which troublesomeness that the magnetic head is cleaned is eliminated by mechanically removing dust stuck to the magnetic head at the inside of a film carrier. SOLUTION: When a cleaning button 55 is depressed by confirming that negative film does not exist at the inside of a carrying path 20 by an operator after the negative film of a specified quantity is fed, a driving command is transmitted to a driving motor 60 from a controlling part 62. Thus, the driving motor 60 is driven, so that a driving shaft 54 is rotated by nearly 1/4. When an arm 52 whose one end is fixed at the driving shaft 54 by the rotation of the driving shaft 54, a supporting body 50 supported by the other end of the arm 52 pushes out a cleaning sheet 48. Thus, the cleaning sheet 48 passes through a sheet insertion hole 64, and passes through the film carrying path 20, and reaches a magnetic head part 28, so that the dust on the track surface of the magnetic head is removed.
