TIRE CHAIN FOR THE PROTECTION AND SLIP PREVENTION OF VEHICLE TIRES

A tire chain for the protection and slip prevention of vehicle tires comprising a number of main metal nets and a number of supplemental metal nets of shorter length than the main metal nets. The chain is adapted to the peripherial length of the tire on which it is to be mounted by selecting the necessary number of main and supplemental metal nets respectively, which are disposed side-by-side around the periphery of the tire. The adjoining side-by-side metal nets are connected together by suitable connector means.
