Cup packing prodn. system - grips sheet along edges and separates cups transversely after forming

The system produces and fills a cup-type packing with fluid or paste, the cups being formed with a peripheral sealing edge from sheet pulled off a roll, and sealed after filling with hot-sealing covering sheet. The sheet (4) from which the cups are made is gripped along one or both edges, and after forming the cups(13, 14) the covering sheet is applied to the sealing edges and locked to it except at the point opposite to where it is gripped. The cups are then separated from each other in a direction at right angles to the sheet travel direction and filled, after which the covering sheet is sealed to them along the portion of the sealing edge still free.
