The multiway plug connector is constructed from two identical halves. Each half consists of a strip shaped body of insulating material with identical contact elements in each half. Each half of the plug device (1) is made with an engagement slot (4) parallel to the longitudinal axis. The sections are dovetailed when brought together and there are cutouts (6) which hold spring loaded contact elements (10) in the slits. There are projections (13) to the walls around the slits which are tapered and form the ends of the slots. There ae cutouts (16) in the plug-in direction of the walls which mesh with their counterparts.
