<p>Rotor blades(2) are fixed to the impeller disc(1), a shroud ring(3) being fixed over the outer tips of the blades. Each blade has a projecting lug(21) which slips through a hole in shroud ring. The hole has a large clearance(J1) with the lug so that a complete ring can be easily slipped over all the blades. A locking plate(4) is then pushed over the end of each lug projecting through the ring. There is one plate for each blade and it has a hole whose cleareance(J2) to the lug is small. The end of the lug is then rivetted(22) over to fix the blade, locking plate and shroud ring together.</p> |
