<p>Plastic dishes having a peripheral wall which engages a skirted lid heat transverse grooves at intervals along the faces and crest of the wall for vents to assist disengagement of the lid. Both dish and lid feature peripheral flanges, which overlap and can be welded together to seal the pack. The flanges are perforated to facilitate their removal prior to first opening the box. Dishes are suitable as Petri dishes which can be sealed to contain bacteriological cultures and subsequently sampled and covered repeatedly without risk of spillage or stagnation of the contents.</p> |
