Reinforced slides for car seat - with deep profile interlocking U=sections for max. impact support (SW 14.8.78)

The car seat is supported on reinforced slides which have interlocking U-profiles with their height at least twice the width. The slides (2, 3) have parallel flanges sliding closely over each other and provide improved lateral support in impacts. The slides also provide improved vertical support as opposed to conventional slides which are progressively torn apart on impact. Freely moving bearing inserts (18) between the slides ease the movement.
