The device has for its actuation a hollow quick-motion spindle (10) and a power amplifier which additionally produces the clamping force and is actuated by a drive spindle (18) which is guided in and can be coupled to the quick-motion spindle (10) and has for its separate actuation a spindle end projecting axially from the quick-motion spindle. In order to be able to clearly set the level of the clamping force and limit it to preselectable maximum values, the drive spindle (18), in the area of its end (21) projecting from the quick-motion spindle (10), carries a fixed stop (24) for a stop sleeve (27) which is arranged on the quick-motion spindle (10), can be adjusted axially on the quick-motion spindle (10) and can be locked in its respective position against an axial displacement by the stop (24) of the drive spindle (18). The stop (24) abutting against the stop sleeve (27) prevents an adjustment of the drive spindle (18) in the direction of a further increase in clamping force independently of the respective position of the quick-motion spindle (10). <IMAGE> |
