Waste paper separation - uses a hammer mill and airstream with gratings for hammers to pass through and extract clinging matter

Equipment for sepg. out paper materials from a mixt. has a hammer mill in a housing with a material feed above the milling surface for the ground mixt., with an outlet where the hammers run upwards together with an upwards air stream. A grating is located in the housing opposite the material outlet in the downwards path of the hammers. The width of the slits in the grating and the size of the hammers passing through the slits are determined together with the surface speed of the hammers according to the grade of paper to be sepd. Flexible matter in the mixt. tends to wrap itself partially round the edges of the hammers and is removed by the upwards air stream in the case of light matter to pass through the outlet while less flexible matter is removed through an outlet surface. Appts. allows usable paper material tobe sepd. and removed from domestic waste matter.
