<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a many-body problem calculating device and a method capable of suppressing an increase in cost while saving a short range force calculation amount among particles by efficiently selecting particles existing near a particular particle. <P>SOLUTION: The many-body problem calculating device has a force arithmetic unit for calculating a short range force between particles, a storage device for storing particle data of all particles included in a system and cell data of all cells, an address generating device for holding a cell list composed of cell data of a center cell including a center particle and of the prescribed number of peripheral cells, designating particle data of the center particle and particles existing around the center particle from the cell data in the cell list and sequentially updating the cell list, respectively, so as to make the entire cells in the system a center cell according to a predetermined rule, and a memory controller for reading from the storage device particle data of particles for calculating short range force designated by the address generating device and transferring the particle data to the force arithmetic unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
