The polymerisation of cpds. contg. >=1 vinyl gp. is catalysed by an anion type catalytic system prepd. by an exchange reaction of an alkali metal hydride and an organic cpd of formula (I)(where A = H or the gp. (a), (b), or (c) (where R', R", R"', RIV, RV and RVI are the same or different alkyl, aryl or cycloalkyl gps; R is a bivalent alkylene, arylene, cycloalkylene or alkylarylene radical, n1 is a no. 0-8; X = O or S; n = 0 or 1). Used for polymerising monomers acrylonitrile, methyl methacrylate, styrene, butadiene, isoprene, piperylene, 4 or 5C fractions or their mixt. with very stirct cou-tiol of the mol. wt. of the final prod. A wide range of mol. wts. can thus be obtained. Oligomers may also be produced, and with diolefin monomers, it is possible to obtain polymers having a desird microstructure. The polymerisation may be effected in the homogeneous phase. |
