<p>In depositing high speed filaments cables, a slowly rotating intermediate unit is used to apply a braking effect before they arrive in the receptacle. The intermediate unit is in the form of a permeable drum with air passing through in a forced feed from the outside inwards. The design is for high speed spinning units delivering polyester filaments e.g. at speeds of 4000-8000 m/min.; the mechanism accepts the material at high speeds and delivers them constantly to a receptacle at sufficiently low speeds to prevent tangling.</p> |
