Intermediates for insecticidal ( beta -phenyl- beta -substituted-vinyl)cyclopropanecarboxylates in which the beta -substituent may be halogen, lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl, cyano, carbomethoxy, or carbethoxy are described and exemplified.
