PURPOSE:To increase the sensitivity and storage stability of the title material by adding indanol or hydronaphtol thereto. CONSTITUTION:The ether of indanol or hydronaphtol, especially a compound at a melting point of 70 to 130 deg.C is used in a thermosensitive recording material containing electro-donative colorless pigment and electron-receptive compound as main ingredients. The ether compound should preferably be one expressed by a formula (R is substitutable alkyl group or allyl group, and n is 3 or 6. A position of R should most preferably be occupied by an aromatic ring such as a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring which can be substituted with at least one of groups such as alkoxy, alkyl, halogen, alkylthio, cyano and acyl). Colorless dye (color developing agent), an electron-receptive compound (coloring agent) and a sensitizer are generally pulverized and dispersed with an aqueous solution of water-soluble polymer using a ball mill or a sand mill. |
