Interconnected grids may be treated in pairs using a pair of nozzles and the paste may be caused to enter the grids by applying vibrational energy via sonatrode 23, the grids may be inverted at 24 treated with a second sonatrode at 28, passed through oven 31 to dry the paste; excess paste being removed by rotating brushes 33 and 34 and the grids separated at 35. Several different configurations of cutter are described, Figs. 2, 3 and 4 and a nozzle outlet inclined at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the strip may be employed. |
