PURPOSE:To achieve sufficient high frequency compensation with low DC capacitor voltage without causing breakdown of a switching element by obtaining a two-phase current command signal subjected to biaxial conversion from two- phase voltage and current then obtaining phase compensation current command signal for eliminating only such high frequency as containing no basic wave component. CONSTITUTION:A voltage generating circuit 13 produces two-phase voltages ealpha, ebeta while a two-phase current operating circuit 14 produces two-phase currents ialpha, ibeta. A p, q computing circuit 15 computes instantaneous actual powers p, q. An R, S computing circuit 15' computes reverse phase actual power R and imaginary power S. A sign inverting circuit 17 inverts the signs of AC components of instantaneous effective power and reactive power, and provides an effective power command signal p* and a reactive power command signal q* to a p, q shunt current command operating circuit 18'. The p, q shunt current command computing circuit 18 computes p, q two-phase shunt current command signals ialpha*, ibeta* which are then fed to a current command level computing circuit 8'. The current command level computing circuit 8' provides phase compensation current command signals iCU1*, iCV1*, iCW1* to a current control circuit 9'. |
