The bracket may take the form of a strip or a curved strap (1) which is fitted with two fixing holes (2, 3). The bracket is made of plastics insulating material and the bracket material incorporates an electrical conductor such as metallic powder or graphite and limited to 20% by weight of the insulating material so as to achieve a resistivity of between 1 and 108 ohms/cm. The bracket is used for fixing pipes or other components and prevents the build up of static in the pipe. Fixing screws or rivets are also provided with the bracket.
