Pulsating fluidised bed generator - having gas distributor directing flow periodically through perforated chamber sections

A pulsating fluidised powder bed, e.g. for mass and heat exchange processes in a gas/powdered solids phase, is produced by a gas flow, controlled by a gas distributor. This passes a flow of constant volumetric flow rate periodically through the various chambers and adjacent segments of the perforated bottom of the top where it comes in contact with the powdered solids or liquids of the charge. This ensures a high turbulence of the gas/fluid or gas/powder phase and requires min. energy. The gas requirement is reduced considerably.
