For improved utilisation of the waste heat from a flue gas boiler, especially for increasing the amount of relatively high-grade electrical energy, the first heat exchanger (15) in the flue gas boiler (10) and the condenser (35) of the flue gas boiler plant, serving as second heat exchanger for the heat-absorbing heating medium, are connected in parallel and the mass flows of heating medium through means of adjustment (54) in at least one of the parallel line flows (53, 55; 60, 62) are divided between both line flows (53, 55; 60, 62) by the temperature of the heating medium leaving the first heat exchanger (15).
