<p>Flooring base panel comprises a base plate consisting of a plastics sheet with projections arranged in form of a grid. The panel, as claimed, is a substrate onto which the actual flooring, representing the walking surface, is placed which thus rests on the projections. the intersecting "valleys" between the projections are adapted to receive installations such as heating pipes. The projections are easily removed. The projections are formed by deep-drawing the plastics sheet, and are filled with a hardenable mass. Accordingly, the distance between 2 adjacent projections corresponds to the dia. of a heating pipe. The "valleys" pref. have "U" cross-section. The base panels are placed closely edge-to-edge onto a load-bearing sub-floor the projections are removed where a heating pipe to be installed, describes an arc; the heating pipe is fitted in; and the actual flooring (walking surface) is placed on top.</p> |
