<p>Steel wire reinforced cord sheets are produced by leading the steel through a guide which defines its position exactly, introducing the carrier material in a plastic state under pressure from the side immediately after the guide so that it flows around the steel wire passing the steel wire with the carrier material through an injection nozzle which defines the position of the steel wire in the cord sheet. The position of the steel wires in the sheet is defined exactly. The frequent breakdowns associated with the use of a calender for wire reinforced sheet prodn. are avoided.</p> |
