<p>A laminated polymer material is produced from at least two thermoplastics as a hollow extruded tubing. It has at least two layers, forming a spiral pattern in the section and extruding direction, the section of each layer is in flow lines formed by the extruding direction and by the radial dimension of the tubing and these run at an angle to the tubing surface. The mechanical and many other properties of the polymers and therefore in the different directions of the tubing can differ considerably to suit the application, e.g. using one crystalline and one rubber type of polymer can produce tubing which is rigid in one direction and extensible in the other. The distribution of the two polymers can be arranged as required.</p> |
