Scissors for use by professional hairdressers has the back of one of the blades formed with a raised edge on either side. The cross-section of the edge of the blade is thus in the form of a T. The back of the comb is provided with a matching T shaped groove so that the comb can be fixed to the blade by sliding it on from one end. The comb is thus always readily available and it can be used without the need for any special skill. It also provides a more hygienic service by allowing the hairdresser to change the comb for each customer.
