<p>The blade retaining device is on a blade ring chipper for chopping small pieces of wooden with two axially spaced revolving rings interconnected by cross arm stems. Chipping blades are fixed on the insides and radially locked by a clamping piece in the form of a two-armed lever with springs pressing on its longer arm. A piston (31) is mounted between the spring (7) and lever (6), hydraulically or pneumatically displaceable against spring pressure. Between the blade ring cross arm stem (4) and a longer lever arm (6b) there is an activating element, pref. the piston rod (31a), to swing the lever into its opening position.</p> |
