Split bearing for furniture lock - has lower plastics seat and metal top cap connected by ratcheting

The split bearing is used for end hooks and rods in rotating rod bar locks for furniture. The lower bearing part has a ratchet dowel for securing in the furniture. The lock mechanism is readily and rapidly fitted. The rectangular lower part (1) of the bearing is made of tough plastics material, with outwards projecting flexible projections (13). The integral upper part (2) of the bearing is made of metal and it forms a cap completely covering the lower part. The upper part has openings in its side walls for ratcheting into the projections (13) on the lower part.
