<p>The anchor prop is for holding conveyors and coal winning machines at a pre-set angle by a leaf spring secured to a spring shoe it is otherwise linked through a foot joint to the baseplate. The shoe (9) together with the prop itself (4) can pivot round the joint pin (5) on the baseplate (1). A sheet upright (10) with holes (11) is placed on the baseplate so that the spring shoe can be located at a preset angle using a push bolt (13) thrust through a hole (12) in the shoe for this purpose.</p>
