PURPOSE:To provide a portable electronic timepiece of the type including electric generator such as ''automatic winding mechanism'' in which arrangement is such that excessive electric energy is discharged in case that electric energy is supplied to the secondary battery more than the capacity of the same, whereby overcharging of the battery can be prevented.
