PURPOSE:To supply cold or hot air quietly and comfortably which is cool at the head level and warm at the foot level by disposing an air outlet for the evaporator in the upper part of the unit main body and an air outlet for the condenser in the lower part of the rear panel, incorporating a heater unit in the condenser air duct, and providing the evaporator and the condenser respectively with a dedicated fan motor. CONSTITUTION:For cool air mode operation in the summer season, the evaporator fan 10 and the condenser fan 11 are operated to cool the air in the evaporator 2, the cool air being blown out of the cool air outlet 17 disposed in the upper part toward the upper parts such as face or chest of occupants staying in the room so they may feel cool. The heat absorbed in the condenser 3 is released to the rear out of a warm air outlet 18 disposed in the lower part so that the warm air may not be blown to the occupants. In the winter season, the unit main body 1 is turned on its caster wheels 16 to direct the warm air outlet 18 disposed in the lower part in the rear panel toward the occupants. Because the evaporator fan motor 19 is stopped, the operation is quiet without noise from the evaporator fan 10. |
