The electric cooker tray which is pref. partitioned holds at the front "safe" components, such as indicator lamps and, at the back, components requiring more careful and expert handling. The latter components are only accessible after the release of a stop, which halts the tray's free initial movement. The stop is pref. released only with the aid of a tool. This may mean unfastening a screw or inserting a screwdriver to raise a spring catch.
