The heat exchanger module is for use between a liquid flowing inside a set of plates and gas with natural or forced circulation. It comprises a skeleton of tubular construction supporting the plates, the tubes acting as supply and discharge pipes for the water to be cooled. A cooling tower of the desired capacity is obtained by fitting the necessary number of modules together, it being merely necessary to couple the supply and discharge tubes up together. The modules may be used to construct a natural-draught cooling tower for a power station etc, and the supply to all plates can result in the same losses, i.e. there are the same number of elbows and T-pieces and the same pipe lengths. |
