<p>1499089 Pipe joints AUTOMATION INDUSTRIES Inc 2 July 1976 [3 July 1975] 27751/76 Heading F2G A corrugated plastics internal vacuum cleaner hose is provided integrally therewith at its end with a cuff 24 having a centre section 26 and a snap fitting 32 at its free end with a radial flange 34 and an axial sleeve 36, an end fitting 14 being provided for the hose and including a tapered section 58 along which the snap fitting 32 may be pushed until it engages in an annular recess 52 in the end fitting as shown to retain the end fitting whilst allowing relative rotation between it and the hose. A cylindrical skirt 60 may be provided on the end fitting 14 to provide a seal with the interior surface of the hose. In an alternative embodiment the tapered section 58 on the end fitting 14 is replaced by a coarse screw thread allowing the end fitting to be secured to the snap fitting 32 of the cuff 24.</p> |
