The coupling device has a friction clutch which can be released by means of a release system (B) counter to the force of a spring (4). The release system (B) comprises a sliding sleeve (6) which can be made to slide along a guide (5) provided on the gear box side (C), a release fork (7) via which the sliding sleeve (6) can be acted upon, and a rolling bearing (8) with a rotating bearing race (9) and a bearing race 10 connected to the sliding sleeve (6). The release system (B) comprises two units, which are connected to one another by interacting connecting elements (13, 15) of a connecting device (E). The first unit is mounted on the engine and the second unit is mounted on a guide (5) on the gear box. When the engine and gear box are pushed together (arrows F, G), an insertion slope (18) meets the forward region of the rotating bearing race (9) and then compresses a snap ring (13) in the radial direction until the snap ring is able to expand in the region of an undercut (15). The preassembled units of the release system (B) are thereby connected together. This embodiment ensures easy assembly of the clutch, which can be carried out without the use of any manual insertion aid and without damage to any of the parts. <IMAGE> |
