FIELD: forestry and wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has two parts: datum mechanism and lower and upper drive caterpillars. Two pairs of centering prisms are fixed on links of caterpillars. Lower caterpillar and related guides are immovably fixed and upper caterpillar and related guides are loosely suspended on levers. Datum mechanism is positioned in series with feeding caterpillars and has two pairs of cutters and two pairs of feeding rollers. Such construction provides rectilinear displacement of curved tree trunks and eliminates jamming of tree trunks on line. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and wider operational capabilities. 6 dwg |
