The high-speed operation of the switch is achieved by replacing the coiled spring of conventional design with leaf springs. This permits the reduction of the width of the switching mechanism to be made so that it is possible to incorporate it in the cavity of the partition between the pole terminal chambers of the switch. The design also decreases the number of components. The slide (5) in the cavity of the partition wall is operated by a lever (7) and the snap action is due to hardened leaf springs (6, 6'). The slide has side walls (8/8') and end walls (9/9') forming a box structure with top and bottom openings, and the springs are set between projections (10/10'), (11/11') of the slide and their tips have ball ends (12). The contact between the operating lever (7) and the slide (5) is ensured by pads (20/20'), and when the lever is in its vertical position, the curvature of the leaf spring provides the contact for switching of the slide. The contacts of the switch assembly are moved by a stub (21) projecting from two sides of the slide.
|
