The powered mine face support with dedusting facility is made up of hollow section components (10, 11, 15), specifically the roofbars, floor bars and/or shield components. These form suction channels which are coupled to a suction line (21) and have suction orifices (19) to draw in the dust. The orifices (19) are on the roofbar sides where these face one another, and/or on the shields of the face support system as appropriate. The orifices may be on the sides (16, 18) of the roofbars and/or shields pointed towards the waste and/or the coalface. The hollow box section roofbars (11) and/or shields should be coupled by flexible lines (21) to a common suction line serving an aspirator fan.
