<p>Heat exchanger comprises inlet and outlet connections in the exchanger shell for the fluid flowing around the tubes, and inlet and outlet connections for the other fluid in a separate chamber, which is fitted with an annular seal onto the tube plate closing the open end of the heat exchanger shell. This separate chamber thus has one or more internal partitions to separate the flow paths inside it. Sealing element between this partition and the tube plate across the end of the exchanger shell is formed as a resilient elastic strip which is fitted over the edge of the partition. Lower edge of the partition need not be accurately machined, thus reducing cost and time. In addition, the fitting of the seals is considerably easier.</p> |
