Combined speedometer and tachometer - has engine speed ranges assigned to speedometer scale indicating vehicle speed

The speedometer needle simultaneously indicates the speed of the vehicle and the engine speed range in which the vehicle's engine is operating. The engine speed ranges are indicated by lines which partly overlap one another. These lines can be circular segments which are arranged in the scale of a round instrument indicating concentratically to the vehicle speed scale. The circular segments are each assigned to a transmission step. The lines can be identified by coding which is explained by a legend on the dial.
