Ductile metal forming machine - has jaws gripping plate edges and moving forming templates

The plate (1) to be shaped is gripped around the edges between jaws (2) between the flanges (3) of the spherical body (8). Male and female formers are located each in a half of the sphere separated by the plate. Pressure is increased on the underside of the ductile plate until it follows the shape of the former on the upper side of the sphere. The lower former is then moved upwards and pressure is increased on the opposite side of the sphere. The former is brought into contact with the plate before the pressure increases.
