Infusion system liq. flow rate control system has two spaced clamps on the outlet tube from the lower end of the drop monitoring chamber below the liq. reservoir. the upper clamp reduces the cross-section of the tube and the lower clamp opens and closes the tube. The system utilises produced in the column of liq. and the flow rate is regulated in dependence on the desired value and the actual value. The desired value is adjusted at a frequency generator directly as a drop frequency and the actual value is determined photoelectrically across the drop forming chamber. The difference between the two values is used to control the lower clamp and the rate of flow of liq. from it.
