<p>The robust electric heating element cord, particularly for heating air streams in hairdrying equipment and the like, consists of a flexible glass cord core and a surrounding helical resistive element and sustains very little residual heat after power switch off. A glass cord core consisting of three glass fibres (11) twisted together has a helically formed resistive conductor (12) wound round it. The resulting flexible cord can be wound round a cruciform insulating chassis (1, 2) along which an air stream can be directed. Terminals (5) for connection to supply leads (6, 7) via crimped connections are provided.</p> |
