The machine applies refractory material to the inside surface of a furnace. It comprises a transport truck travelling over the ground and equipped with a slewing plate. A projector tube with spray jet is supported on the plate on a slewing and derricking mounting, directing the material onto the furnace wall. The plate also mounts a magazine for the refractory material, which is delivered to the jet by a pump on the truck. The tube can be manipulated in any direction without being obstructed by the magazine, and all equipment necessary for the operation is carried on the truck itself.
