<p>The machine automatically loads and unloads oven trucks carrying stacks of racks, partic. of bricks, the stacks emerging from the oven being transferred from the trucks by a transverse hanger conveyor to a parallel conveyor belt. The bricks are then removed from the racks. The racks are reloaded with fresh blanks, and finally transferred by a curther transverse hanger conveyor onto an empty truck. The hanger conveyors (6) are lifting mechanisms engaging under the stacks (4) from one side, and those unloading and reloading them (12, 16) are so arranged that bricks and blanks (10, 14) are inserted and removed in a direction at right angles to that in which the trucks (2) travel. Thus the openings in the racks are towards the heating gases, which are directed at right angles to the truck travel direction.</p> |
