PURPOSE:To protect the wall of an arc furnace by connecting a low shaft furnace with the arc furnace and charging reduced iron preheated in the low shaft furnace by exhaust gas from the arc furnace into a violent phase electrode part of the arc furnace and at the same time, to refine reduced iron melted in the arc furnace to steel by oxygen blowing.
