The battery of heat exchangers is for the cooling or heating of water or other liquid, having rows of pockets of flexible plastics, forming sheets of water etc connected between inlet and outlet manifolds and separated by spaces through which air circulates. The pockets are suspended by one end from supports fixed to the frame, and their degree of inflation is limited so that they do not come into contact with each other. The upper ends of the pockets are clamped between bars from which they are suspended, the bars in turn being suspended from the upper part of a supporting frame. The lower ends are similarly clamped, the bars being attached to a frame movable up and down to allow free expansion and contraction of the pockets.
|
