<p>The equipment shifts and sorts various types of items, and incorporates an elastic conveyor travelling continuously round an endless path. Thrusters work in conjunction with the working run of the conveyor, and move at right angles to it between a retracted position at one side and an extended one at the other, ejecting the items to be sorted from the conveyor. The thrusters can be moved on the conveyor by ramp faces, or pushrods coupled to a common motor, and the individual couplings being operated by a selector mechanism. Equipment can be mounted at the side of the conveyor, to receive items thrust from it.</p> |
