<p>The drinking trough for cattle consists of a trough part with top (12) over it. In the top (12) is a hole (13) for a tube (14) connected to a water supply. The tube (14) has a flange (15) next to the inside surface of the top, and fixed by a butt (16). Inside the trough (11) the tube (14) has a smaller diameter tube (17) with threading on the outside for a valve nozzle (18), which in turn has a hole (19) in the middle and outer annular groove (21). A locking cap (22) of flexible material such as rubber blocks the hole (19) and consists of a cover side (23), parallel to which is a bottom side (24) and three sides (27), so that the cap is open on one side. A valve operating lever (31) pivot mounted on an axle (32) positioned in the holes in the sides of the trough (11) is for closing the hole (19). Connected to the lever (31), is a sleeve (33) on which rests the spiral part (34) of a two-armed spring (35). One arm (36) rests against the back of the trough (11) and the other arm (37) acts in an anti-clockwise direction on the lever (31).</p> |
